Strahm Hi-Tex Systems AG is working continuously to improve performance and reliability of their machinery. For this and other reasons we have installed pilot lines to provide customers possibilities to experiment with new processes and new products. Our experienced staff will assist you by setting up the machines and developing optimized parameters to achieve excellent results.
Pilot installation at the Laroche R&D center:
The HiPer™ Therm:
At our partner Laroche S.A., Manufacturer of Recycling machinery, opening and
blending equipment as well as an air laid web forming machine Strahm operates, in
line with the Laroche airlay, a thermobonding oven of the HiPer™ Therm series. The
HiPer™ Therm at Laroche is an industrial machine and allows to extrapolate all
results to machines of wider width with high accuracy.
Applications:
Thermobonding of a very large variety of fibers or fiber blends, i.e. natural
fibers such as flax, hemp, coir, jute, all kind of synthetic fibers as well as
mineral fibers (glass). This in blends with either bicomponent fibers or
Polypropylene fibers.
• Working width 1‘300mm
• Speed up to 30m/min
• Set up with 2 heating and 1 cooling module
Pilot installation Fibroline:
The HiPer™
Volt:
Impregnation of powders into finished substrates by means of an alternating
electric field.
The Process
The powder is scattered onto/under a textile substrate which is transported via
two belts in between the two dielectric. The alternative high tension applied to
the electrodes creates ions which collide with the powder and charge
electrically the powder particles which are accelerated by the electric field.
The powder forms a cloud occupying all the space between the dielectric and
thanks to its kinetic energy, penetrates the fibrous substrate homogenously. Due
to a corona effect a modification of the fiber and powder surface may occur
improving further matrix adhesion. The process was developed in cooperation by
FIBROLINE SPRL and IFTH (Institute Français du Textile et de l’Habillement),
Lyon, France.
